Pre-diagnosis

Cancer screening is essential to detecting cancer at its early stage, especially when symptoms are still absent (e.g. early-stage liver cancer). The earlier cancer is detected, the better the treatment outcome is likely to be.

According to Cancer Expert Working Group on Cancer Prevention and Screening (CEWG), in Hong Kong people without symptoms and at average risk AND those belong to increased risk group should undergo screening for cervical cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer, liver cancer, nasopharyngeal cancer, thyroid cancer, and ovarian cancer on a regular basis. Please consult your doctor for medical advice.
